Definitions and Scope of Partnering

Both "partnering" and "partnership" are often defined in broad terms. Writers such as Rackham, Friedman and Ruff (1996) have observed that, "Because partnering is evolving so rapidly, it doesn't have a neat and tidy definition." What concerns us is:

how organisations work together to achieve mutual business benefits …especially where those benefits would be difficult or impossible to achieve alone
